Parmigiano Reggiano (Parmesan) D.O.P. / B.O.B. aged for 70 months, is a strong tasting cheese with a delicious spicy aroma.
The cheese has a crystallized texture and a beautiful straw yellow color, offering a unique taste experience with its walnut and dried fruit undertones.
Parmesan is best enjoyed with Passito or other types of liqueur wine, and can also be enjoyed with long distilled drinks such as whiskey or cognac.
Parmesan cheese is naturally lactose-free and is therefore also recommended for children.
The minimum ripening age required to officially qualify as 'Parmigiano Reggiano' is 12 months.
